storage for my paper projects...come take a look!

Four plus One

So I've been working on these layouts using Cosmo Cricket's Joy Ride line, which is travel-themed, kind of. I wish I traveled more, but I had to reach all the way back to last spring and scrap my trip to San Francisco. (Which was for a conference, by the way - I was just a tourist in my free time!)

Using one line makes all four layouts hang together, but they're still all pretty different, probably b/c I have issues doing the same thing twice! I even have a hard time teaching the same books multiple times -- I get bored way too fast for my own good!

Ok, up first:
I'm usually a one- or two-photo type, so 6 on one layout is pretty wild for me. Calmed it down by making a pretty linear layout.

Next:

Ooh, 4 photos! Still pretty good for me! I sewed my own journaling lines over a big schmear of paint. I like the look, but sewing straight is clearly not my strong suit! Next time, I'll save this one for a less-linear layout, I think.

#3:
Amoeba Music is a huge-o-rama independent music store. I had to go there for Andrew (who did not come on this trip)...it was a long, dark walk to get there!

And, almost-finally:
My fave. You MUST go to City Lights Books. Well, I must, anyway. The entire upper floor is all poetry. Sigh. Anyway, I think this layout still needs a little something in the upper-left quadrant, but maybe I'll leave well enough alone.

All 4 layouts have little chipboard flowers in the top-right corner, which I guess is my dorky way of remembering that they go together :)

In these four: Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride paper, elements, chipboard stickers, and buttons. CC chip alphas and tiny type, too. The "Signs" layout uses LYB rub-ons, and the Castro layout uses some BG alpha stickers.

And now for the Plus One (like a date, I guess, only papery-er!):
What you can't see in this photo is that Andrew and I look very sleepy in this photo -- his choir was performing on the Saturday morning news, which for Channel 4 meant we had to be at the studio before, oh, 6am. On a Saturday, mind you.  Fun, though.
In it: Pink Paislee 365 papers, stamps and artisan tapes, Coredinations cs, Jillibean Soup journaling spot, plus a star punch and some bakers' twine for stitching.

Hooray! Many more in the works for this month...plus who knows? Maybe I'll keep tinkering with these. Right after I go enjoy the sunshine for awhile, anyway.

All of these will (eventually) go up in Scrappy Chic's gallery, plus the Cosmo layouts will be up at Mega Meet in May.

Thanks for looking!

Wow great job! You sure got a lot done! Today I should have been working on my layouts or golfing but I painted the railing on my porch instead :) lol
