This has been kind of a non-crafting week so far -- busy doing other stuff, I guess. We redid our kitchen back in the winter, and the final step is happening now -- the backsplash! It was backordered for a couple months -- good thing it wasn't the countertop or stove or something! Anywho, it's gorgeous. The whole kitchen, I mean. My dad did all the work (my dh and I helped!) -- he's pretty amazing. I think I'll have to do a mini-book about it or something.
Besides that, my car's been in the shop, I've had a couple of fun outings, cleaned the house, fought the spotty internet connection...you know, the usual.
I have made one thing, though; here it is:
This was a super-fast layout -- it's all from BoBunny's Peacock Lane collection (the stuff you see in the post a couple below this one). The background is BoBunny, too -- their dotty paper is fun and comes in glitter dot, too! This is also a very two-dimensional layout, which is rare for me. The alphas, border, and swirls are all from the sticker sheet -- no dimensional accents at all! Well, there's one lonely bit of bling -- can you see it? I dig it, though, and it sure makes scrapping go quickly! Hope you like it, too. You can see it in person one of these days at Scrappy Chic.
PS -- I just found out I'll be going to CHA in Chicago next month! Anyone else going? I'm so geeked about meeting the rockstars of the craft world...and I'm told I need to get some comfy shoes. Any recommendations? I refuse to wear running shoes in public.
