My mailbox has been busy, too -- in both directions! First up, a giant HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my pal Lindsey -- be sure to stop over and wish her well on her big day. Here's what should be in her mailbox...whenever the Canada Post snafu gets worked out, anyway:
The girl can grow some awesome flowers, so this seems suitable, no? I've used PTI dies and stamps with some of that fabulous dots and stripes paper from Echo Park (from Scrappy Chic, of course!) -- the blue stripes are from a 6x6 pad, while the green is 12x12 -- love the variation in scale. Have a great day, Linds, and I sure hope your card gets to you eventually!
Next up, a local RAK:
We have some new next-door neighbors, and they seem really nice. What better way to keep it friendly than with a little gift? The card uses mostly scraps from my desk -- papers from Crate and Amuse Studio, a house die-cut from a coaster with a stickles-filled heart at the center, and a fitting sentiment (PTI). Peeking around from the back is a jar of homemade strawberry-rhubarb jam for a little housewarming gift (oh, is it ever yummy, too -- we've almost polished off a whole jar ourselves, and I just made it a few days ago!). The recipe I used is in this book, which has all kinds of totally doable canning recipes. Highly recommended!
And now for a couple of incoming RAKs, both from the fabulous Meg!
This is part of a trio she already blogged here, and I just love it! I'm also fairly certain I'd never have the patience to deal with all the tiny pieces she popped up so perfectly. Fabulous!!
Also, to celebrate Simon the kitten's arrival:
How cute is this? I swear, that woman is a genius with her Silhouette! Plus, it's punny in addition to being so well-designed. I absolutely love it!! I think Simon might approve:
...or he will, once he wakes up ;)
Here they are together:
I just love my stampy friends and neighbors! I hope you all have a delightful day!

Oh my these are all so cute! I love that birthday card, very sweet. The cut out clouds look fab. The welcome to the neighbourhood card is awesome! Great colours and how awesome to use up scraps!
I LOVE that "keep calm & skate on" card. Your friend IS a genius with her Silhouette!
And finally congrats on your new kitty! Simon is adorable. :)
p.s. I would love to go to Toronto for that derby tournament. Unfortunately I have a wedding there in Sept, and its a lot of $$ to get there. It would be great to meet you though! We'll see! If anyone from calgary makes it onto the Canadian team i may just HAVE to work it out!!
LOL, I knew Kasia would love the 'skate on' card. Heehee. Meg's CATulations card is incredible, too. She's a genius, that Meg!!
Totally love Linds' bday card. I tried using that set to no avail. And boo hiss to Canada Post. I want my stuff, too! :(
P.S. The new photo of Simon totally made me squeal. :D
What card happiness! Love the way you used the Echo Park paper. I just gave lots of homemade cards to a letter writing friend for her birthday. Something about handmade just is so special, sorry Hallmark! :)
Ang, I love my card! Maybe someday I'll see it in person. Maybe someday you can get a card from me, again, too. Sigh. And your housewarming card is perfect. Mmmm, strawberry-rhubarb jam, one of my absolute favourites.
Meg's cards are fabulous! Simon is growing so quickly! Still as cute as ever, though. :)
Totally amazing cards!! Love the little watering can and the punched clouds :)
Eeek! I'm in love with Linds's birthday card! Love the pairing of the two striped papers and all the die cuts.
Glad you enjoyed your happy mail! I'm glad Mr Simon is able to sleep while you blog--he's such a cutie!
