Another day, another Unity project! Today I have a layout...yep, more CHA photos! Well, pre-CHA, technically. Here you go:
{pardon today's photos -- we had a case of the grey rainies around here!}
All four of the flower stamps in this month's kit have buttons in the center. That's just asking for the real thing, don't you think? I did a bit of quick and simple paper piecing with each flower, topping them with buttons from my embarrassingly large stash of buttons. (PS: one bonus of being an 8.5x11" scrapper: leftover paper to piece with!) In this photo, you can also see an additional flower that I stamped a bit in the background.
{Sidenote: the blue panel on the page is also misted with turquoise glimmer mist. Last weekend, I took an all-ink class with Jen Starr, who's a Ranger and Tattered Angels educator. I finally understand my mists! Hooray! Tip of the day: Spray with conviction! Tip two: mist the back of your paper with plain ol' water, and it curls up way less.}
More simple piecing here. Used my Smash date stamp for the date. Handy little bugger. The papers here are all from Pink Paislee's Daily Junque collection, which I luuuurrve -- the colors are so fresh together! I'm pretty sure my good stamping pal and last week's Growing in Unity gal, Meg, is getting this collection for making it into the Top Ten in the current Gallery Idol competition -- and I think you have until about two pm local (Eastern) time today (Thursday) to go vote for
Whew! One more day to go! I'll be back tomorrow with a totally simple card set. In the meantime, I have some comments to catch up on! Y'all are so sweet! Be sure to comment today and every day this week for a shot at winning one of the following sets:
Enjoy your day! See you tomorrow.

Beautiful layout!!
So great!!! I love the details and the misting tips, thanks Angela!
great layout - I love all the different techniques you used. My KOM just showed up today, so now I'm itching to ink it up!
Love your posts, Angela. Thanks for explaining the techniques you use.
Those papers are definitely scrumptious, Ang! I love how you used those flowers and the tag from this month's KOM. I was thinking of real buttons myself and I love the tiny attacher on the tag. Cute, cute, cute!!
Great layout, love the design!

Well I certainly have anticipation about getting this paper pack after seeing this layout! Those paper pieced flowers look so funky and pretty--love the addition of real buttons!
I also have Carly Simon going through my head right now, so I guess that was Dire Straits payback? Thanks for voting shout-out (I mean, your unbiased suggestion of going to vote). :)
Great layout....love your papers and showcasing of this month's KOM. Thanks for sharing!!!
Nice layout!

These papers are fabulous! I especially love the paper-pieced flowers. And thanks, Meg -- I was so busy admiring the cool letter style, I didn't have the Carly Simon earworm... till I read your comment. :P

Beautiful layout! Love the misting and flowers stamped in the background, and the papers and flowers are gorgeous.
Super cute layout and thanks for the great misting tip! I always hate the wet-paper-curled look.
